The Arts hold a special place in the curriculum, really allowing the girls to have that freedom and flexibility of self-expression.

Arts Week

We celebrate the fundamental human desire to create and inspire creativity during Arts Week each year.  We offer a wide array of activities offered throughout the week including club-led workshops, visual arts exhibits, as well as musical, theatrical, and dance performances. The week kicks off with voting on our community wide Science Photography Contest, with views from microscopes, flora and fauna captured from around the world, as well as experiments with light and motion.  Voting also takes place to determine the “Best in Show” among our senior solo exhibits, which is then adopted into Foxcroft’s permanent art collection.

Niblack Arts Lecture Series

The Helen Cudahy Niblack '42 Arts Lecture Series was launched in 2007 by Austi Brown '73, in memory of her mother. Since then, it has brought a variety of literary, performing, and fine artists to campus to share their work, their stories, and their perspective on the nature of the creative process with students and the larger community. One of the goals of this series is to provide an artist with the opportunity to share her artistic journey and creative inspiration with the Foxcroft community in a comfortable setting, creating space for an exchange of ideas that just might inspire a Foxcroft girl or two to chase her own artistic dreams.
